Adelaide: Selection of Rishabh Pant in the playing XI for the semi-finals in the T20 World Cup 2022 is in question. Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant has selected his dream T20I team and some of the star Indian players didn’t make to the cut.

Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav are currently in great form and helping their side to win matches in the World Cup but they aren’t good enough for wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant as he chooses not to select them in his Dream T20I team.

Pant instead chose England captain Jos Butler and Liam Livingstone. Along with himself in the team, he chose Jasprit Bumrah and Afghanistan bowling wizard Rashid Khan in the first five of the Dream team.

Rishabh Pant gives this reason for his choice

After making the choice of his first five dream team, he said, “The first five players which I would pick in a T20 XI for my side are… Jos Buttler. Whenever he comes to bat, especially in T20s, I feel he can hit anywhere in this world.”

Choosing the bowling players, he said, “And Rashid, he’s been a mystery spinner over a period of the last six, seven years now. I love him and he can contribute with the bat too.”

“Because I’m choosing this team, I have to be in it,” said Pant with a laugh. It’s compulsory for me to choose myself, that’s why I went there,” he added.

Question mark on Rishabh Pant’s inclusion in Team India playing XI

Rishabh Pant has been a part of the T20 World Cup team but hasn’t played in the first four games. Rohit Sharma toko him in when India was playing a safe game against Zimbabwe before the semi-finals.
