New Delhi: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) defeated Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by 12 runs in the 6th match of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Monday, April 3.

CSK’s first innings

Batting first, CSK got superb start from their opener Ruturaj Gaikwad (57) and Devon Conway 947). This is Gaikwad’s second straight fifty for CSK as he hold the orange cap with 92 runs.

LSG batting

In reply, LSG were on energetic star as their opener Kyle Mayers also scored half-century, but soon he departed the match turned in CSK’s favor.

Moeen Ali wickets

Moeen got the big wicket. Mayers swept it and fond deep mid wicket. The Chepauk crowd finds its voice again.

Rahul with a slogged swept toward wide mid wicket. Gaikwad took a few steps to his left and took this a few yards inside the ropes. Moeen had removed both the openers.

Fullish on off from Moeen for the last ball of the 10th, Krunal lofted a cross-batted shot and picked out Jadeja at the ropes.

Stoinis cleaned up by Moeen,who had now picked up his fourth. What a hand the all-rounder had played today with the bat and now with ball.

Tushar scalp two wickets

Wicket was kept loosing for Lucknow in regular intervals, Moeen Ali scalped 4-wickets. Chennai’s impact player Tushar Deshpande also bagged 2 wicket.
