New Delhi: Super 12 cricket teams have been fighting for their chances of reaching semi-finals of T20 World Cup for last 10 days. As majority of games have concluded and every team is left with just one game (except South Africa and Pakistan), clouds of doubts on potential semi-finalists have started to clear.
Talking about Group 2, India is topping the table. They had trembled a bit from first position when they lost to South Africa but win against Bangladesh has firmly fixed them on top.
Pakistan struggling at 5th spot
Pakistan, who was considered as a favorite before the start of the tournament, is trailing at 5 spot. They haven’t had a favorable campaign as they have lost 2 games out of 3. It is highlt unlikely for Pakistan to now sail in the semis. If they win in their next two games, they will can have a maximum of 6 points which will not be enough to surpass India and South Africa
India and South Africa leading Group 2
After four games, India has earned 6 points as they won three games. Following them is South Africa who has garnered 5 points but that’s just after 3 games. If Proteas manage to win in rest of their 2 games, they will be highest scorer in group.
So far, India and South Africa seems to have reserved the spot for the semi-final. However, there are few more games to go in the group.
