England Cricket Board: In a historic move, the England Cricket Board announced to pay equal match fees for the Women’s team as England Men’s team. Earlier, the England Women’s team used to get less mess fees than the England Men’s team, but now with the effect of the new rule, both the teams will get equal money.
There has been a demand for the same for a long time.
However, the England Cricket Board is not the only cricket body that has decided to pay equal match fees to both cricket teams. Recently, the BCCI announced that Indian men’s and women’s teams get equal match fees. The New Zealand and South Africa Cricket Board have already taken the same decision. This is considered a very important step towards the development of the women’s cricket team.
Boards announce equal pay for Men’s and Women’s team
Along with the BCCI, cricket boards of 3 countries have decided to pay equal match fees to their men’s and women’s players. England Cricket Board, New Zealand Cricket Board, and South African Cricket Board are on the list.
