New Delhi: Cricket is the game of gentlemen and it is played with a lot of strategy but there are moments that leave fans in heavy laughter. One such incident happened in the 2nd ODI between Australia and New Zealand when the two batters got confused about running between the wickets.

It was the series of errors from both the teams that led to a funny situation on the field. On the fifth ball of the game, Kane Williamson flicked the ball and ran for a single but Devon Conway, who was at the non-striking end, decided not to complete the run and ran back.

By this time, Williamson had completed more than half of the run but seeing Conway going back, he took the U-turn. At the same time, Conway tried to follow Williamson and going towards the striking end.

For Australia, it was the mistake of Sean Abbott as he could not grab the ball in first time and when he did, it was thrown to wicketkeeper Alex Carey. He could not hit directly to the stumps and missed the golden opportunity to dismiss the New Zealand skipper.

Australia take lead by 2-0

Australia won the 2nd ODI against New Zealand to take the lead by 2-0 in the three match series. While playing the game, New Zealand was given the target of 197 runs, but after a terrible performance by Kiwis, Kangaroos won the game by 113 runs.
