Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has announced a cash reward of Rs 10 lakh for 14-year-old cricket prodigy Vaibhav Suryavanshi, following his sensational century against the Gujarat Titans on Monday at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium.
Suryavanshi delivered a performance for the ages, etching his name into T20 history with a stunning display of power-hitting. Despite being in the early stages of his cricketing journey, the young sensation dismantled a Gujarat Titans bowling attack that collectively holds 694 international caps.
Vaibhav’s Classic Knock
At just 14 years, the “Wonder Kid” became the youngest player to score a century in T20 cricket. He also recorded the second-fastest century in the history of the league, just behind Chris Gayle’s iconic 30-ball hundred against the Pune Warriors in 2013. His explosive innings was finally halted by a pinpoint yorker from Prasidh Krishna.
