During the post-match presentation, when asked about Suryavanshi’s knock, the GT skipper Shubman Gill didn’t expressed much about Suryavanshi’s brilliance.
He said – “It was his (lucky) day. His hitting was just tremendous, and he made full use of his day,”
Ajay Jadeja Didn’t Like Gill’s Attitude
The former Indian cricketer Ajay Jadeja wasn’t impressed with Gill’s attitude and said “But a 14-year-old to believe in himself, the amount that he believes in himself, and to take it that far, even if it’s, you know, one day like some player on television just said, oh, it was just his lucky day,”.
About Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s Knock
Vaibhav smashed a century in just 35 balls and in the IPL history he is now just behind Chris Gayle as the second fastest player. Interestingly, no other player under the age of 18 has ever achieved a T20 century before. He is also the 7th Indian teenager to have scored a T20 ton after Rohit Sharma, Devdutt Padikkal and Manish Pandey.
