New Delhi: America’s captain Christian Pulisic has left Chelsea and joined the Series A heavyweight AC Milan on a four-year deal. The 24-year-old winger joined Chelsea in 2019 from Borussia Dortmund and spent four years at the London-based club.

Pulisic career at Chelsea

At Stamford Bridge, Pulisic scored 26 goals in 145 games, including a crucial goal in the 2021 Champions League final, which resulted in the club’s victory. However, his current form was the main course of concern for Chelsea, with only one Premier League goal during the 2022-23 season and limited playing time.

The American international took to Instagram and thank his teammates and fan at the Chelsea and bid final good bye

“I want to thank all my teammates, coaches , fans and everyone behind the scenes that made these last few years at Chelsea so special. Lifting this trophy at the end of that wonderful champions league run will stick with me forever. Thank you for the memories,” Pulisic posted on Instagram.

Pulisic deal details with AC Milan

The deal had been in the pipeline for some time given the excellent relations between Milan and the London club, with the Rossoneri having reportedly paid €20m plus bonuses for the 24-year-old.

Milan started their pre-season earlier this week and many fans were at Milanello to cheer on the other new arrivals Marco Sportiello, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Luka Romero. Soon, they will be able to welcome Pulisic too.

Pulisic achievement with Chelsea

His playing time at Chelsea had become increasingly limited as the club signed several attacking players in the past year, including Mykhailo Mudryk, Raheem Sterling and Christopher Nkunku.

Pulisic made 145 appearances across four seasons for Chelsea, during which he was a part of the club’s Champions League-winning side in 2021. He also helped lift the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup later that year.
