Ram Mandir: As the countdown begins for the consecration of Ramlala at the Ram temple in Ayodhya, a fervor grips not just India but also resonates strongly among American Hindus. The imminent ceremony on January 22, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will oversee the consecration, has sparked immense enthusiasm, particularly within the American Hindu community.

Ram Mandir – Rally in Houston: A Vibrant Display of Devotion
In a momentous show of celebration, American Hindus organized a grand car rally in Houston, preceding the inauguration of the Ram Mandir. This rally, spanning a distance of 5 kilometers, comprised a staggering convoy of 216 vehicles adorned with vibrant symbols, including saffron flags embellished with images of the Ram temple, alongside Indian and American flags.
Journey of Devotion and Unity
The rally commenced from the Shri Meenakshi Temple and culminated at the Shri Sharad Amba Temple, halting at 11 temples along the way. Amidst chants of “Jai Shri Ram” and the rendition of Ram Bhajans, the rally became a profound expression of faith and devotion.

Ram Mandir – Emotional Moments and Shared Devotion
Kusum Vyas of the Living Planet Foundation expressed how the resounding chants of “Jai Shri Ram” and the echoes of conch shells stirred emotions among those present in the temples, evoking a sense of deep spirituality.
Organizers Speak of Blessings and Devotion
Anchalesh Amar, Umang Mehta, and Arun Mundra, the orchestrators of this historic rally, shared their experiences. Anchalesh Amar, also a member of VHPA, highlighted the gathering of over 2,500 devotees across different temples for the rally, emphasizing the embodiment of Lord Shri Ram within the hearts of Houston’s populace.

Ram Mandir – Invitations and Devotional Offerings
The rally also included the distribution of baskets to each temple, containing official invitations from VHPA, sacred rice from Ayodhya, Ganga water, copies of Sunderkand, and sweets. This gesture aimed to encourage participation in the upcoming consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla.
Eager Preparation and Participation
Preparations in America for the Ram Lalla consecration are in full swing. VHPA plans to live stream the ceremony, while temple visits will include the distribution of Prasad in honor of the inauguration. An appeal has been made to Hindu American citizens to light five lamps in their homes on January 22, uniting in this momentous occasion.
