Buddha Purnima: One of the main philosophical and religious systems in southern and eastern Asia as well as the rest of the world is Buddhism. Buddhists are those who practise Buddhism. All schools of Buddhism commemorate the Buddha Gautama’s birth, enlightenment, and entry into nirvana among other significant moments in his life.

The founder of Buddhism, Gautama Buddha, was born on this day in history. The Buddha acquired enlightenment on this day. The festival will be held on May 16 this year. It takes place on a full moon night between April and May.
