Suji Chilla Recipe: Ingredients
- Semolina (1 cup)
- Curd (1/2 cup)
- Water
- coriander leaves
- 1 onion (finely chopped)
- 1 carrot (grated)
- 1 green chilli (finely chopped)
- 1 capsicum (finely chopped)
- 1 tsp (red chili powder)
- salt to taste
Method
- To make semolina chilla, first mix semolina and curd in a bowl.
- Keep in mind that you have to prepare a thick batter which is also a bit coarse.
- You can also mix favorite vegetables in it.
- Mix the finely chopped vegetables in the batter.
- If you want, you can also add some water if needed.
- Add green chilies, red chili powder and salt to it.
- If you want, you can also mix ginger-garlic paste.
- Sprinkle a pinch of coriander in it and leave the batter for about 20 minutes.
- After this, heat a non-stick griddle on the gas.
- Apply a little oil on it with the help of a brush.
- After this, pour the batter on the griddle with a spoon or bowl.
- Cook till the cheela turns red from both the sides.
