Ragi Cheela Recipe: Ragi cheela is very tasty to eat. It is also very beneficial for health. Ragi has many types of nutritional properties which are beneficial for diabetes patients. Also, it is rich in fiber which keeps your digestive system healthy.

You don’t even need a lot of time to make instant ragi cheela. If you are getting late for office in the morning then you can also make this for kids. Because it is very tasty to eat, everyone eats it happily. Let’s know how to make tasty and healthy ragi cheela quickly.

Ragi Cheela Recipe: Ingredients

  • Ragi flour – 1 cup
  • Capsicum chopped – 1
  • Carrot chopped – 1 (optional)
  • Green chili – 1-2
  • Tomato chopped – 1
  • Green Coriander – 2-3 tbsp
  • Onion chopped – 1
  • Chopped green onions – 1/4 cup
  • Chaat masala – 1/2 tsp
  • oil – as needed
  • salt – as per taste



  • First of all, to make cheela, finely chop onion, tomato, green chili, carrot and capsicum.
  • Now take ragi flour in a vessel and put chopped green onions, capsicum, green coriander and chopped carrots in it.
  • Save some chopped capsicum, tomato, onion, they will be useful later.
  • Now mix all the things well, and also add chaat masala and salt according to the test.
  • After that prepare the batter by adding water. Keep in mind that the batter should not be too thin.
  • Now take a nonstick pan and put it on the gas to heat it.
  • When the pan becomes hot, add a little oil to it and then pour the batter on the pan with the help of a bowl.
  • After this, with the help of a bowl, spread it all over the pan.
  • Now put chopped capsicum, tomato and onion on top of the cheela, and press it well.
  • When it gets cooked well from one side, flip it over and cook it from the other side as well.
  • When it gets cooked from both the sides and becomes crispy, take it out in a plate. ,
  • Similarly prepare all the cheelas. And serve them with your favorite chutney or sauce.
