Moong Dal Ki Kheer: Ingredients
- Ghee (2 tbsp)
- Milk (2 cups)
- Rice (½ cup)
- Cashews (1 tsp)
- Jaggery (½ cup)
- water (3 cups)
- Raisins (1 tsp)
- Almonds (1 tsp)
- Moong Dal (¼ cup)
- Saffron soaked in hot milk
- Cardamom powder (½ tsp)
Recipe
First of all, put ghee in a pan and heat it. After this, lightly roast the almonds and cashews and take them out in a plate. Now put moong dal and rice in the same pan and fry till it becomes golden. Now again take a pan and heat ghee in it. After this, add jaggery to the fried moong dal and rice and cook it well on low flame.
Cook till it thickens and add cardamom powder and saffron to it. Cook it for about 3 minutes and then turn off the gas. Add roasted cashews, raisins and almonds to it. After this add boiled milk and stir well. After one to two boils, the delicious moong dal kheer will be ready. You can serve it hot or chilled in the fridge as well.
