Met Gala 2023 Looks: The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City has begun the 2023 Met Gala red carpet. The annual event this year honours the exhibition “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty.” The evening will collect money for The Met’s Costume Institute while paying tribute to the late designer Karl Lagerfeld, who oversaw brands including Chanel, Fendi, and his own namesake line.

Rihanna wore a custom Valentino ensemble: a voluminous hooded cape covered in large, white camellias. However, she appeared way too late for the red carpet.

Byrne Tyree Henry wore a Karl Lagerfeld outfit in homage to the evening’s theme. He was decked out in layers of beaded black-and-white necklaces, a flowing black cape with lace frills, and a black, silk vest.
Karen Elson
Karen Elson selected a “naked” dress with pink, black, and white fabric flowers that were inserted in strategic locations throughout the neckline, hips, and train.
Adut Akech
Sparkles adorned the strapless bodice, which dipped low in the middle. The dress’s black and white striped translucent tulle skirt, which spilled into a train, contrasted with the bodice’s sparkling design.
