Malabar Fish Curry Recipe: Ingredients

  • 40 gms whole coriander seeds
  • 60 gms whole red chilli
  • 10 ml coconut oil
  • 1 gram mustard seeds
  • 10 gms onion, chopped
  • 3-4 Curry leaves
  • 20 ml coconut milk
  • 5 ml tamarind pulp
  • 5 gram coriander, chopped
  • 120 gms seabass fish curry cuts


  1. For at least three to four hours, soak entire begdi chillies and coriander seeds together.
  2. Boil the components that have been soaked, then make the paste and drain it.
  3. Heat coconut oil in a skillet, then add mustard seeds, curry leaves, and chopped onions.
  4. Cook until the onions are transparent.
  5. Add the strained paste to the sauce, boil it thoroughly, and stir in the fish curry slices.
  6. Add tamarind pulp and coconut milk to finish.
  7. Add fried curry leaves and chopped coriander as a garnish.
