New Delhi:  As she took the stage in a gold ball gown for the event celebrating King Charles III’s coronation, Katy Perry wowed everyone in attendance. As a representative of the British Asian Trust, she also attended the coronation on Saturday as a guest.

In a lilac Vivienne Westwood suit and tilted hat, the singer looked stunning. As she continued looking for her seat on social media, Perry rapidly became a meme.

Katy Perry performs to Roar and Firework

Katy Perry sang Roar and Fireworks from her discography while taking the stage at Windsor Castle wearing a gold ballgown with Disney Princess inspiration. A lion exhibition was also presented above the stage during the Roar performance. Prince George and Princess Charlotte appeared to be having a great time during the coronation concert, bopping around in their seats with the latter even sang along with Perry.

During her set Katy Perry said, ‘Thank you for having me at this coronation celebration. I would like to dedicate this next song to the King and to the work we get to do together for the British Asian Trust and the Children’s Protection Fund. Thank you for bringing out the fireworks in so many young people’.

Other performers at King Charles’ coronation event on Sunday included 90s boyband Take That and Lionel Richie, who even got Britain’s new monarch to stand. The pre-recorded tribute video to Queen Camilla and King Charles III featured celebrities including Hugh Jackman and Tom Cruise.
