Jave for Breakfast: Ingredients
- 1 cup barley
- 1 cup finely chopped onion
- 1 cup finely chopped potatoes
- peas half bowl
- 2 green chilies finely chopped
- Ajwain 3/4 tsp
- salt to taste
- 1/2 inch ginger
- red chili powder as per taste
- 1/4 tsp mustard seeds
- oil 1 tsp
- Lemon juice 1 tbsp
- finely chopped coriander

Recipe
- To make Namkeen Jawa, first finely chop onion, potato, green chili and coriander.
- After this, fry the barley in a pan without oil till it turns brown.
- Now heat oil in a pan and add celery, add chopped onions and potatoes along with it.
- During this, keep the flame low and cover the pan and cook till the potatoes become soft.
- Now add peas to it and cook till it becomes soft.
- When the peas become soft, add barley, salt, red chili, green chili, and 1.5 cups of water.
- Lower the flame, cover the lid and cover and cook the barley till the water dries up.
- Keep in mind that you keep stirring the jaws in between, otherwise they may stick.
- When all the water dries up, turn off the gas, and squeeze lemon into the salted barley and mix it well.
- After this garnish it with chopped tomatoes and coriander and serve it hot.
