Soup: Without soups and stews, the winter months would be incomplete. But when it comes to the ideal soup, the texture is crucial. According to experts, the ideal soup thickness always enhances the enjoyment of soup in this weather. Here are six quick and easy ways to thicken soup at home.

1. Add a few tablespoons of cream or yoghurt and heat your tomato or spinach soup if it appears too thin. Keep stirring while it’s boiling to keep it from sticking to the pan.

2. To thicken a soup, you can also add flour or cornflour. All you have to do is stir in a tablespoon of flour and simmer the soup. Enjoy!

3. Another option for thickening soup is to create beurre manié, a paste made from melted butter and flour. Bring the soup to a boil after adding the paste. Serve!

4. Add shredded bread to the soup, heat it through, and mix to incorporate. Serve it hot after bringing it back to a boil.

5. You can also include cooked and mashed rice in the soup, according to experts. Add in and heat until they are well incorporated into the soup. Serve warm. 

6. To achieve the required consistency in a vegetable soup, thoroughly blanch the veggies, combine them into a paste with additional milk or cream, and then boil it with broth.
