Ingredients for Moong Dal Halwa Recipe
- Yellow Split Moong Dal – 1 cup
- Ghee – ½ cup
- Sugar – 1 cup
- Milk – 2 cups
- Cardamom Powder – 1 tsp
- Saffron a pinch
- Lots of dry fruits
Moong Dal Halwa Recipe
- Wash the moong dal, then soak it for four hours. Put it in a blender after draining it. until smooth, purée.
- Bring milk and sugar to a boil in a saucepan.
- Add the saffron and cardamom after turning the heat off.
- In a nonstick pan that has been heated with ghee, add the pureed moong dal and stir well.
- Cook this while continuing to stir and push until it is done.
- Cook the mixture until it becomes toasted and dry. That will probably take 30 minutes.
- Add the milk mixture now, stirring thoroughly. Cook this until it becomes thick and resembles halwa.
- The moong dal halwa is ready to eat
