Guru Gobind Singh Jayanti 2022: This year will commemorate the 355th anniversary of the birth of one of history’s most inspirational figures, Guru Gobind Singh. Today, December 29, is Guru Gobind Singh Jayanti, which will be observed in 2022.
Guru Gobind Singh was known as Dashmesh pita because he was the tenth Sikh guru. He gave Sikhism its five Ks: Kanga, Kesh, Kachera, Kara, and Kirpan. Gobind Singh Ji was born in January (Paush) of 1666 to the ninth Sikh Guru Teg Bahadur and Mata Gujri in Patna Sahib, Bihar, according to the Sikh calendar (Nanakshahi).
