New Delhi: The Swatantrya Veer Savarkar movie’s official trailer was unveiled on May 28, Savarkar Jayanti, by the film’s creators. Randeep Hooda plays the main in it. Swatantrya Veer Savarkar is described as the “most feared revolutionary” and “the most wanted Indian by the British.” On the 140th anniversary of Swatantra Veer Savarkar’s birth, this sneak look was released.
The film also serves as Randeep’s directorial debut. Anand Pandit, the movie’s producer, has now announced that Randeep Hooda shed 26 pounds for the role of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar.
Randeep Hooda lost 26kgs for Swatantrya Veer Savarkar
In addition to Randeep Hooda, Anand Pandit, Sandeep Singh, Sam Khan, and Yogesh Rahar are the other producers of Swatantrya Veer Savarkar. Anand Pandit recently disclosed in an interview that Randeep shed 26 kgs in preparation for his role in the movie.
The producer revealed, “He was so involved in the character and till date is. To essay it on the screen, he said that he won’t leave any stone unturned. He had only 1 khajoor and 1 glass of milk for 4 months until the shooting got over.”
Randeep also shaved off his hair for the role, said the producer.
Sharing the official teaser of his upcoming movie on Instagram, Randeep Hooda wrote, “India’s Most Influential Revolutionary. The Man most feared by the British. Find out #WhoKilledHisStory @randeephooda in and as #SwantantryaVeerSavarkar In Cinemas 2023 (sic).”
Speaking about India’s most influential revolutionary, Randeep Hooda said, “”Savarkar led an incredible life, and as I learned more about him while researching for my film, I have come to admire him tremendously. So it gives me immense pleasure to share a sneak peek into our film on his 140th birthday.”
