Dal Bafla Recipe: Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1/4 tsp ajwain
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup ghee
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
Dal Ingredients
- 1/2 cup arhar dal
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp salt
Dal Tadka: Ingredients
- 1 tbsp ghee
- 1/4 tsp asafoetida
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 3 tbsp green coriander
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
Procedure
To make Bafla, take wheat flour in a bowl. In addition to celery, cumin and salt, add ghee. Now prepare its dough. After this make small balls and keep it. Now place a pan on the gas and keep the water for heating. Add turmeric and salt to this water. When it starts boiling, put the balls made in the pan as well. Now cook them till these balls start floating on top.
Once cooked, take out the balls from the pan. Now leave them to dry. After about 15 minutes, cook these balls in the oven at 200 degree temperature for at least 15 minutes. In this way the Bafla will be ready.
Now to make dal, cook the soaked pigeon pea and gram dal in a cooker. For this, put water, salt and turmeric in the pressure cooker. After 3-4 whistles, temper the dal. For this, put ghee in a pan, then add asafoetida and then mustard seeds. In this way tempering will be made, now apply tempering to the lentils. Now you can serve the prepared Bafla by adding the tempering dal.
