Gram-halwa and puri are considered very important for girl worship. On this day people worship little girls as goddesses and offer them chana halwa and puri. Chana Halwa Recipe: Ingredients
- 1 cup-chana dal
- 1 cup-sugar
- 1 cup-ghee
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp – green cardamom
- Raisins – 1 tbsp
- 1 tbsp – Almonds and pistachios (chopped)
- 8- Cashew

Recipe
- To make chana halwa, firstly soak chana dal overnight.
- Now separate all its water well, and grind coarsely in the mixie.
- After this, add ghee to the pan, and heat it well.
- After this add coarsely ground gram dal in ghee, and fry it.
- Keep in mind that the flame of the gas should be slow, add cardamom seeds along with it.
- When the aroma starts coming from the dal, then understand that the dal has been roasted well.
- Now add milk to it at this stage, and add some water along with it.
- Keep in mind that the water should be boiled beforehand, otherwise the test of the halwa may get spoiled.
- Now add sugar and raisins and the rest of the dry fruits to it, and mix well.
- When the sugar mixes well, and the halwa becomes dry, turn off the gas.
- Now you fry hot puris, and offer bhog to the girls with halwa.
