Biryani tops Zomato’s most-ordered food on New Year’s Eve 2023. The information was revealed by the food ordering application on Instagram on Wednesday.
An illustrative graph of foods with time was uploaded by Zomato, in which it was clearly seen that ‘Biryani’ was the first choice of people on December 31st night.
However, pizza and burgers also topped the list and secured second and third positions on the chart. The graph captioned “How India order on NYE 2023” The food delivery app crome the biryani in the captioned “biryani is unbeatable.”

The graph features 13 foods, from biryani to fried rice and dessert. The video garnered more than 1.6 lakh views, and thousands of people commented on the post.

That idli dosa combo went 0 to 100 real quick, in which Zomato replied India’s fav breakfast. While another wrote, ‘Biryani ke aage koi bol sakta hai kya’ and the third user joked, ‘tumne biryani nahi rakhi isiliye biryani jeet gyi’.

Recently, Swiggy also revealed a 2023 most-ordered food in which Biryani topped. Biryani was the most ordered dish on the food delivery platform Swiggy in 2023, as Indians ordered biryani in the gap of 2.5 seconds, according to the report released by Swiggy on December 14.
Report titled as “How India Swiggy’s 2023- Unwrapping India’s Year in On-Demand Convenience,” Swiggy also said that users can now see their personalized ordering recap on their app.
The report includes data related to food orders and searches on the Swiggy platform from January 2023 to November 2023. “India ordered 2.5 biryanis per second in 2023. For every 5.5 chicken biryanis, there was one vegetarian biryani ordered,” the report said. Chennai, Delhi, and Hyderabad placed the maximum orders. These cities have placed more than 10,000 orders each.
