More than a week has passed and none among the 27 political parties of the India alliance have come to the fore to speak on the series of rape and molestation that the women of Sandeshkhali have gone through. They’ve allegedly been raped by the goons of TMC leader Sheikh Shahjahan and Mamata Didi has nothing to say on this issue. Yes, she has police that are used to stop other political leaders and activists from reaching the spot. She has the police to impose section 144 and to not allow even two leaders or journalists to meet women. Bengal police are busy fulfilling the demands of their chief minister – to stop the opposition leaders and to put journalists behind bars.
The plight of the horrifying nights can be imagined by the statements given by the women who said that every night goons of Sheikh Shahjahan used to knock on doors and pick the women they wanted to whether she was 14 or 40. Their families were tortured and this didn’t happen for a day or two.

Even after the High Court has intervened, TMC and all the political parties of the bloc are all silent just for the vote bank, says BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad.
If not votes then what is stopping all these parties to utter a word on such a disturbing incident? Priyanka Gandhi, who raised the slogan of ‘ladki hoon, lad sakti hoon‘ doesn’t seem like fighting this crime for any ladki. Sonia Gandhi has nothing to say on this matter till now. Rahul Gandhi is super occupied in Nyay Yatra. And Mamata Banerjee, who came into power in the name of ‘Maa, mati, manush’ is busy preparing for the Lok Sabha elections 2024 where she’s not ready to discuss a negotiable seat-sharing with the Congress party.

But the 27 parties, most of whom are not ready to settle for negotiations, are on the same page of not questioning Mamata Banerjee on why this happened to the maa and manush in the mati of Sandeshkhali.
