Rain Lashes Delhi-NCR on Friday morning

Weather Update: Weather these days is showing its vivid colours. Few weeks before people were facing strong heat and now weather took U –turn and made surroundings pleasant for Delhi-NCR people. Delhi-NCR people wake up to pleasant weather. Soft breeze with drizzling added feathers to the weather charm. Friday is mostly considered as weekend the day of week as majority people are off on Saturday and Sunday.

Where the heat had broken all its records in the month of February, now before the end of March, the weather has taken a turn once again. Amid rising heat in the states from north to south, once again the weather patterns are seen changing in many places.

Recently, it rained in many parts of the country including Delhi-MCR, due to which people have got relief from the heat. Today, there is a possibility of thunderstorm, storm and hailstorm along with rain in many states including Delhi-NCR.

According to the Meteorological Department, due to the effect of another strong Western Disturbance, there are chances of rain and hailstorm with thunderstorm in North-West India. Today, in many areas of Ladakh, Baltistan, Jammu Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, there is a possibility of hailstorm accompanied by strong winds.

Along with this, rain, lightning and hail are expected at isolated places in Delhi-NCR Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, West Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. There may be rain at some places in Central and South India as well. Hail may also fall along with thunderstorms at many places.

According to MID, Delhi-NCR will be cloudy today with rain and thundershowers. According to the Meteorological Department, there will be light to moderate rain in many areas of Haryana, Rajasthan and western Uttar Pradesh including Delhi-NCR. During this, winds will blow at a speed of 20-40 kilometers per hour.

According to private weather forecasting agency Skymet Weather, today there is a possibility of hailstorm with scattered rain in the hills of Western Himalayas. Light to moderate snowfall may occur in higher reaches of Western Himalayas. Light snowfall is expected in Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh. There is a possibility of rain in East Assam, Arunachal Pradesh.

Thunderstorm is expected over western parts of Rajasthan. Whereas till March 25, there is a possibility of hailstorm with rain and thunder in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and West Uttar Pradesh. Whereas on March 26, one or two moderate rains may occur over parts of South Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Marathwada, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
