In Noida, Deepa Devi intended to prepare a mango shake for her five-year-old son using Amul Vanilla Magic ice cream purchased from Blinkit. However, her plans were disrupted when she found an unexpected visitor – a centipede – inside the tub of ice cream.
The incident occurred in Sector 12 of Noida, Uttar Pradesh. When Deepa Devi lifted the lid of the tub of ice cream, what she found inside turned her plans into a nightmare. A centipede greeted her, sending shivers down her spine and prompting her to capture the surreal experience on video. The footage starts with Deepa displaying the untouched tub of ice cream. As she removes the lid, a frozen centipede is seen attached to it. The video has since spread widely on social media, sparking concerns about food safety regulations.

Ms. Deepa quickly lodged a complaint with Blinkit, following which the e-commerce platform refunded the ₹195 she paid for the ice cream. Blinkit has also assured her that they have escalated the issue to Amul for further investigation.

This incident is part of a larger pattern. Just days ago, Dr. Orlem Brandon Serrao from Mumbai had a horrifying experience when he found a human finger in his ice cream cone while biting into it. The incident took place in Malad and left Dr. Serrao deeply shocked and disturbed.
Dr. Serrao explained that he had ordered three cone ice creams from an app. One of them was a butterscotch ice cream from the Yummo brand. After consuming half of it, he felt a solid piece in his mouth. Initially thinking it could be a nut or a piece of chocolate, he spat it out to investigate further.
Dr. Serrao, being a doctor, described how he recognized the appearance of body parts. Upon close examination, he observed nails and fingerprint impressions underneath it. The object resembled a thumb, which left him deeply traumatized. A case was filed against the ice cream company for food adulteration and endangering human life.
