Bihar: At least four people died and five others sustained injuries in a shocking road incident in Begusarai that occurred early morning on Sunday. The accident happened when a car crashed into a divider while returning from a wedding. The tragic incident took place at 3.50 am near Khatopur Chowk in the Nagar police station area on National Highway 31. Police said that the injured have been rushed to Sadar hospital and are currently undergoing treatment.
A wounded person informed that they all left the wedding procession around 2 am from Paharpur village. During that time, the driver was feeling drowsy which resulted in the accident. Meanwhile, it was reported that the road accident was due to a tyre burst, which led to the vehicle overturning on the National Highway. The deceased people have been identified as Ankit Kumar (19), Abhishek Kumar, Saurabh Kumar (19), and Krishna Kumar (18).

Sharing the details of the incident, SDPO Subodh Kumar told ANI, “Some people were returning from a wedding When the driver rammed the car into the divider. Four people were killed in the road accident. Another five injured people are undergoing treatment. One of the injured said that they had left the ‘Baraat’ at 2 am. The driver may have been drowsy which resulted in the accident. The incident is said to have occurred at 3.50 am.”
