“Vande Bharat train will be operated soon on Mumbai-Goa route,” says Minister

Vande Bharat: The fully indigenous semi-high speed express train ‘Vande Bharat’ will be in operation on the Mumbai-Goa route very soon, Union Minister of State for Railways Raosaheb Danve has said to a delegation of Maharashtra’s legislators.

The information is given by Niranjan Davkhare, a member of the Maharashtra Legislative Council. The Delegation of MLCs met Danve on Friday. During the interaction, the Minister of State for Railways told that a Vande Bharata Express train will be operated between Goa-Mumbai soon, Davkahre said in a release.

The semi-express train will be operated between Mumbai and Goa on the lines of recently introduced Mumbai-Shirdi and Mumbai-Solapur routes, This will reduce travel time, Dance said.

According to the release, Minister said to delegation that the electrification of the Mumbai-Goa route has been completed and a new train service will be introduced after inspection.
