Post-budget webinar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke at a post-budget webinar on ‘Developing Tourism in Mission Mode,’ saying tourism had the same potential as agriculture, real estate, infrastructure, and textiles in the country.

It was the seventh of 12 post-budget webinars hosted by the government to solicit thoughts and proposals for effectively implementing the objectives announced in the Union Budget 2023. In his address to the gathering, the Prime Minister stated that the new India of today is establishing a new work culture.

Post-budget webinar: Positive response

He expressed his happiness at the people of India’s positive response to this year’s Budget. Looking on the past work culture, PM Modi stated that anything as unique as the post-budget webinars would not have existed if the current government had not been open to dialogue with all stakeholders before and after the budget.

The Prime Minister emphasised that the major goal of these webinars is to enhance budget production while also ensuring timely implementation.

“These webinars act as a spark in accomplishing the budget goals,” PM Modi stated.

Drawing from his experience as the head of government for more than 20 years, the Prime Minister stressed that when all stakeholders align themselves with any strategic decisions made by the government, the desired results are obtained within the stipulated period.

He was pleased with the comments he heard from the post-budget webinars that had already been held.

The Prime Minister emphasised the importance of thinking outside the box and planning ahead of time in order to push tourism in India to new heights.

“In the country, tourism has the same potential as agriculture, real estate development, infrastructure, and textile,” the Prime Minister remarked.

The Prime Minister outlined the conditions for developing a tourist destination, including the potential of the location, the ease of access to the destination, and new ways to promote the destination.
