There are several rules that a driver needs to follow while traveling. The authorities set speed limits that are different for various expressways, highways, and other routes. One such change is brought by the UP Expressway Industrial Development Authority. During the board meeting, they decided that vehicles will run at a speed of up to 120 Km/hour. This meeting was headed by Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh. They have changed the speed limit for passenger vehicles with a maximum of eight seats apart from the driver’s seat from 100 Km/h to 120 Km/h. On the other hand, passenger vehicles with more than 9 seats will now have a speed limit of 100 Km/h.
Vehicles carrying goods will have a speed limit of 80 Km/h. Bikers will be able to ride their vehicles at a speed limit of 80 Km/h, as reported by Navbharat Times.
Now, passenger vehicles will be seen running at a speed limit of 120 Km/h on the Lucknow-Agra Expressway, Purvanchal Expressway, and Bundelkhand Expressway.
The meeting was attended by several Board members, including UP Expressway Industrial Development Authority’s ACEO Hari Pratap Shahi. As per Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh, this move will make the journey more convenient on expressways.
