Both are in custody and money is handed over to the income tax department, police said.
Further investigation in the case is underway, police added.
It is also noted that earlier on April 6, a total of Rs 50 lakh of unaccounted cash was recovered.
A Police official said, “Police seized Rs 50 lakhs of unaccounted cash during the day from a car at Dundur check post in Gadag district.”
