New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Suvendu Adhikari Tuesday accused the Mamata Banerjee-led West Bengal government of weaving “conspiracy” that led to the Odisha Train Accident on June 2.

The BJP leader lashed out at Trinamool Congress asking why are they afraid of an investigation to be carried out by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the matter.

“This incident is TMC’s conspiracy. Why have they been panicking so much since yesterday when this incident is of another state. Why are they afraid of CBI investigation?,” said the Leader of Opposition (LoP) in West Bengal Assembly, Suvendu Adhikari.

Adhikari further mentioned a purported audio clip of conversation between two Railway officials where one of them was admitting some manipulation in giving signals to the train collided. The video was shared by TMC leader Kunal Ghosh. However, the audio clip could not be confirmed by Ghosh himself.

Taking a potshot at TMC over the audio clip, the BJP leader said, “These people with the help of the police tapped the phones of both the railway officials. How did these people know the conversation between two railway officials? How the conversation got leaked.”

Suvendhu Adhikari said all of these questions will be cleared out in the CBI probe. ” If it doesn’t come, I will go to court,” he added.
