In his eight-page letter, Jagan accused Naidu of intentionally tarnishing the sanctity of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), which manages the famous Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple. He claimed that Naidu’s actions were purely politically motivated and aimed at damaging the beliefs of millions of Hindu devotees. According to Jagan, Naidu has undermined not only the Chief Minister’s office but also the religious practices of TTD.

Appeal to PM Modi
Jagan urged PM Modi to take strict action against Naidu for spreading misinformation and creating doubts about the purity of Tirupati laddu. He emphasized the need to restore the faith of Hindu devotees by clearing the confusion caused by Naidu’s remarks.
Jagan wrote, “Sir, the entire country looks to you at this crucial juncture. It is very imperative that Mr. Naidu be reprimanded in the severest way for his shameless act of spreading lies. This would help allay the suspicions that Mr. Naidu has created in the minds of crores of Hindu devotees and restore their faith in the sanctity of TTD.”
Allegations Against Naidu and TTD’s Response
Jagan clarified that adulterated ghee never entered TTD’s premises and was rejected after being tested. He accused Naidu of maliciously raising the issue during a political party meeting on September 18. During an earlier NDA legislative party meeting, Naidu had claimed that the YSRCP government had used substandard ingredients, including animal fat, for making Tirupati laddus.
On September 20, TTD Executive Officer J Shyamala Rao confirmed in a press conference that lab tests had revealed the presence of animal fat and lard in the rejected samples. Rao stated that TTD was in the process of blacklisting the contractor responsible for supplying the adulterated ghee.
This escalation has intensified the political rivalry between Jagan Mohan Reddy and Chandrababu Naidu, adding fuel to an already heated debate on the purity and sanctity of the offerings at the famous Tirumala temple.
