An FIR has been filed against Samajwadi Party MP Awadhesh Prasad’s son Ajit Prasad and others in connection with kidnapping, assault and threat. The incident has been reported by victim Rohit Tiwari in Kotwali Nagar. The matter is related to land deal. In the FIR, Rohit has claimed that he had mediated in getting the land of Shitla Prasad, a resident of Akwara, registered in the name of Ajit Prasad and Lal Bahadur. During this, Ajit Prasad gave one Lakh rupees through a cheque.

Ajit has been accused of kidnapping and assaulting the victim in a moving vehicle. According to the statement given by the victim to the police, Ajit slapped and threatened to kill him. He was standing near SBI bank on Saturday when Ajit along with other men and a constable came and forcibly made him sit in the car.

Ajit Prasad is Samajwadi party’s candidate for upcoming Milkipur Assembly by-election. This incident has stirred political sphere of UP. BJP leader Amit Malviya has reacted on this. “Faizabad MP Awadhesh Prasad, whom Akhilesh Yadav is holding close to his heart these days, his son Ajit Prasad “kidnapped” Ravi Tiwari and “beat him up”. As soon as SP won some seats, the incidents of rape and hooliganism did not stop. There is a saying in Uttar Pradesh – the vehicle which has the SP flag on it, has a goon sitting in it. This is proof of that”, wrote Amit Malviya.
