Stripped, Filmed, Bitten By Dogs, Burnt: Minor House Help Brutalised For 5 Months In Gurgaon

A distressing incident unfolded in Gurgaon’s Sector 57 where a 13-year-old domestic worker faced appalling abuse. The police report indicated that the girl was subjected to brutal beatings, a dog attack, forced nudity, and inappropriate touching by the family she worked for.

As per the complaint filed by the girl’s mother, the employers reportedly assaulted her daughter using objects like an iron rod and a hammer. Additionally, the sons of the household allegedly coerced the girl to strip, filmed her in the nude, and behaved inappropriately.

The girl was discovered confined in a room with her mouth taped shut when her mother arrived with her employer. Her complaint highlighted horrifying instances of starvation and threats, with her mouth taped to prevent her from seeking help.

The FIR further revealed that the family poured acid on the girl’s hands and issued threats of dire consequences if she dared to reveal her torment.

Originally from Bihar, the girl’s mother had arranged the job for her daughter on June 27 through a local contact. Despite initially receiving a monthly payment of ₹9,000, the mother was later denied access to her daughter.

The involvement of her employer facilitated the rescue of the girl and the filing of the complaint. The accused, identified as Shashi Sharma and her two sons, face charges under various sections, including cruelty to animals, physical assault, outraging modesty, and criminal intimidation.
