Actor Randeep Hooda thanked unnamed individuals after Amir Sarfaraz, a key figure in Sarabjit Singh’s 2013 murder, was reportedly killed in Lahore, Pakistan, by unidentified motorcycle riders.

It’s worth mentioning that Randeep Hooda portrayed Sarabjit Singh in the 2016 film titled ‘Sarabjit’, which also starred Aishwarya Rai in the role of his sister, Dalbir Kaur.

Amir Sarfaraz, also known as Tamba, was among Pakistan’s notorious underworld figures. He was targeted on Sunday by assailants riding motorcycles at his residence in Lahore’s Islampura area around 1:30 PM, and tragically, he passed away due to the injuries sustained in the attack.

Sarabjit Singh, hailing from Punjab, was sentenced to death on espionage charges and accused of involvement in bomb blasts in Pakistan’s Punjab province in 1990, allegedly resulting in the deaths of at least 14 Pakistani citizens. However, his family and Indian authorities vehemently denied these accusations.

Sarabjit Singh’s family asserts that he inadvertently crossed the border into Pakistan while working in his fields.

In response to the news of Amir Sarfaraz’s demise, Sarabjit Singh’s daughter Swapandeep initially expressed a sense of satisfaction with the development. However, she soon realized that this event did not equate to true justice.

Swapandeep stated that what her family truly desired was a trial to uncover the reasons behind Sarabjit Singh’s killing and to identify those responsible for it.
