Rajasthan Horror: Police Unearths Sextortion Racket,15 Arrested

The head police officer, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Rahul Prakash from Bharatpur, said that based on certain information, many police teams went to different places in the Mewat area. They arrested 15 people who were supposedly involved in sextortion.

The Rajasthan police found out about a sextortion scheme in the Mewat area of Deeg district. They caught at least 15 people involved in it, according to top officials who knew about it.

The head police officer, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Rahul Prakash from Bharatpur, said that based on certain information, many police teams went to different places in the Mewat area. They arrested 15 people who were supposedly involved in sextortion.

Where Did The Cops Carry Out These Actions?

The IGP stated that the police carried out these actions in three villages – Pathrali, Rayawka, and Haiwatka, which fall under the jurisdiction of the Gopalgarh police station. They also found 61 ATM cards, machines for swiping cards, 33 mobile phones, six computers, and many laptops from the people they arrested.

What Did The Police Say?

The police said that the culprits made fake Facebook accounts pretending to be women and aimed at older and wealthy people. They chatted online about sex using various phones and then blackmailed the victims by threatening to share the recorded conversations on social media unless they paid money.
