Nagaur (Rajasthan): The incident unfolded when the chariot in which Shah and his entourage were traveling accidentally made contact with an LT power line in Parbatsar.

This inadvertent touch of the power line resulted in a spark and the subsequent snapping of the wire. This unexpected event sent shockwaves through the police personnel responsible for security within the convoy, causing a moment of panic.

Later, the convoy came to a halt as officials in charge of the Home Minister’s security assessed the situation. Amit Shah was quickly evacuated from the chariot and safely transferred to another vehicle. Following this incident, DISCOM officials were promptly contacted to address the power line issue.

This incident occurred during Amit Shah’s visit to Nagaur earlier in the day, during which he had attended four public meetings and one Chaupal meeting. Throughout his tour, Shah had been traveling in the BJP chariot. The episode with the power line transpired as the convoy was en route to Parbatsar after a Chaupal meeting in Bidiyad.

The moment the chariot made contact with the power line, causing the spark and its subsequent break, it immediately prompted a halt in the movement of vehicles within the convoy. The senior police officials within the Home Minister’s security team were understandably perturbed when they learned of this incident. They swiftly reacted by bringing the chariot to a stop and deploying security personnel to ensure Amit Shah’s safety. The Home Minister was subsequently removed from the chariot and transferred to another vehicle, while Discom officials were summoned without delay to address the issue.
