PM Narendra Modi congratulated the DRDO scientists for Mission Divyastra in his post on X (formerly called Twitter). He praised the diligent scientists of India for the successful mission that examines the indigenously developed Agni-5 missile with ballistic missiles that have multiple warheads all aimed at different targets (MIRVs).

With this mission, India now stands among those handful of nations that have the MIRV capability.

“Proud of our DRDO scientists for Mission Divyastra, the first flight test of indigenously developed Agni-5 missile with Multiple Independently Targetable Re-entry Vehicle (MIRV) technology”, he wrote on X.

Before this, it was speculated that he would address the people of India on Monday evening on which his latest social media post has put a full stop.
On what would be the big announcement that the PM was going to make in his address, subjects ranging from the Citizenship (Amendment) Act and fuel price to the Farm Bills and MSP caught the eyeballs.

Also, ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, a major announcement regarding the CAA is expected to be made on Monday at 08:00 pm after which the implementation of the CAA might happen from tonight. This schedule has been on the political canvas of the Modi govt since 2016 when on November 08 the prime minister announced the demonization of currency notes of Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000.
