Patna: The Patna Police on Monday lathi charged the candidates of Bihar Teacher Eligibility Test (BTET) and Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) seeking an official notification regarding their appointment.

As per media reports, the teachers’ job aspirant thronged the road in Patna to pressurise the authorities for completing the due process. They asserted that they are unemployed even after qualifying the teachers eligibility tests.

The protestors claimed that in 2021, they were promised by the concerned authorities that the notification will be released in January which did not happen.

Following which, they held several protests in the month of May when they were again ensured that their demands will be fulfill by the end of July.

As the notification was not released in July also, the teacher’s union assembled on the road again saying that this time they will not move until their demands are fulfilled.

The teachers’ union claimed that the government comes up with new excuses every time when it has to delay the notification.
