New Delhi: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MP Manoj Jha on Sunday claimed that they only want peace to be restored in the violence hit state, following the 21-member grand opposition alliance delegation returned from Manipur.
He also urged the two communities – Kuki and Meitei, living in the region to cooperate in restoring peace and harmony in Manipur.
While addressing the media, RJD MP said, “Our only motive is to restore peace in the violence hit Manipur. Additionally, the victims should also get justice. We want that both the communities should live peacefully in the state.”

He further said that the situation in the Manipur is really dangerous. “Be it Madhya Pradesh or Manipur, there is no alternative to peace anywhere that cooperation,” Jha added.
The opposition delegation went on a two-day official visit to Manipur on July 29.

The 21 member opposition delegation comprised of Members of Parliament from both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, including prominent figures such as K Suresh, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, Gaurav Gogoi, Rajiv Ranjan Lalan Singh, Sushmita Dev, Kanimozhi Karunanidhi, Sandosh Kumar, AA Rahim, Prof Manoj Kumar Jha, Javed Ali Khan, Mahua Maji, PP Mohammed Faizal, Aneel Prasad Hegde, ET Mohammed Basheer, NK Premachandran, Sushil Gupta, Arvind Sawant, D Ravikumar, Thiru Thol Thirumavalavan, Jayant Singh, and Phulo Devi Netam.
