The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested a former convict with links to the terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) in connection with the recent blast at the Rameshwaram Cafe in Bengaluru. The arrest comes as part of a nationwide investigation launched by the NIA after the March 1st attack.

The identity of the arrested individual has not been officially disclosed, but sources close to the investigation reveal he was previously convicted in a 2012 LeT terror conspiracy case registered in Karnataka. He was apprehended while transiting through Telangana and is being brought to Karnataka for further questioning.

This arrest signifies a potential breakthrough in the investigation. NIA officials have been scrutinizing the activities of past terror suspects and convicts to identify possible connections to the cafe bombing. The ex-convict’s apprehension suggests investigators might be piecing together a network involved in the attack.
