Madhya Pradesh: Army Naik Arrested By Indore Police On Alleged Rape Charges

The accused was arrested and a case has been registered against him under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Madhya Pradesh: Indore Police has arrested an Army Naik for allegedly raping a married woman, on Saturday. According to reports, Indore Mahila Police Chief Kaushalya Chauhan informed that the victim visited the police station to file a complaint against the accused Army Naik.

She further stated that the accused is a resident of Uttar Pradesh and is now serving as Army Naik in Assam. He was arrested and a case has been registered against him under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

The army naik has mentioned that he met the woman and the two became friends after he offered her an army canteen card.

According to recent reports, the woman complained that the accused asked her to come to a hotel room in Indore. She told that he allegedly raped her and inserted a glass in her genitals, leaving her in a blood-stained state. The victim has been sent for medical assessment.

The accused, however, refuted the allegations made against him by the victim and claimed that they were engaged in a consensual sexual relationship.
