Dinesh Aggarwal, a senior Congress leader and former minister in Uttarakhand, had been discontented with the organization for an extended period. Despite efforts to persuade him on Saturday, he remained adamant. Subsequently, late at night, Dinesh Aggarwal tendered his resignation from the Congress party. Prior to his departure, amidst speculations about joining the BJP, Aggarwal cryptically remarked, “We will see when the sun comes out.”

The surfaced resignation letter from Dinesh Aggarwal was addressed to the Uttarakhand Congress Committee. In it, he formally announced his resignation from the primary membership of the Indian National Congress Committee, urging them to accept it.
