Lok Sabha 2024: BJP Announces 6th List Of Candidates, Fields Kanhaiya Lal Meena From Dausa

BJP has nominated Indu Devi Jatav for the Karauli-Dholpur (SC) constituency and Kanhaiya Lal Meena for Dausa in Rajasthan. Meanwhile, the saffron party has fielded Thounaojam Basanta Kumar Singh from Inner Manipur in Manipur.

Lok Sabha 2024: BJP Announces 6th List Of Candidates

Ahead of the Lok Sabha election 2024, BJP on Tuesday released names of three candidates including two from Rajasthan and one from Manipur. Notably, this is the sixth list of candidates announced by the saffron party.

On Tuesday, the BJP unveiled its sixth list of Lok Sabha candidates, revealing contenders for Manipur and Rajasthan. In Rajasthan, the party has nominated Indu Devi Jatav for the Karauli-Dholpur (SC) constituency and Kanhaiya Lal Meena for Dausa. Meanwhile, Thounaojam Basanta Kumar Singh has been chosen as the candidate for Inner Manipur in Manipur.

To date, the saffron party has announced a total of 405 candidates.

On March 25, BJP released its fifth list of candidates. The major candidate to which the party has facilitated the ticket is actor Kangana Ranaut. She will contest the elections from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh.

Additionally, several other big names including Dharmendra Pradhan, Arun Govil, Ravi Shankar Prasad, and others were also featured in the list.

The saffron party has nominated Kangana Ranaut from Mandi, alongside other candidates such as Arun Govil from Meerut, K Surendran from Wayanad, Arjun Singh from Barrackpur, Rekha Patra from Basirhat, and newly joined Naveen Jindal from Kurukshetra.

Polling for the state’s 39 Lok Sabha seats is scheduled for the first phase on April 19. It’s worth noting that BJP did not secure any seats from Tamil Nadu in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
