Biju Janata Dal (BJD) president and supremo Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday announced the name of five candidates in the third list of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections 2024 for Odisha. The party fields Surendra Singh Bhoi from Balangir, while Manjulata Mandal to contest from Bhadrak in the general polls.

Additionally, Parineeta Mishra to contest from Bargarh, Bhrugu Baxipatra to fight elections from Berhampur and party fields Dhanurjay Siddu from Keonjhar constituency.

The general elections in the country slated to take place into seven phases from April 19. The polls will conclude on June 1, while the counting of votes will take place on June 4, stated the Election Commission Of India (ECI).
On March 27, Patnaik revealed the party’s second list of candidates for six Lok Sabha seats. Among the candidates announced are Arup Patnaik for Puri, Santrupta Mishra for Cuttack, Rajashree Mallick for Jagatsingpur, Sarmista Sethi for Jajpur, Abinash Samal for Dhenkanal, and Achyuta Samant for Kandhamal.

This announcement follows an earlier declaration today, where Patnaik unveiled the first list of candidates for 9 Lok Sabha and 72 assembly seats.
