In a shocking incident, a techie jumped from the sixth floor of his office building and succumbed to injuries. The shocking incident took place in the New Town area on March 19. The deceased has been identified as Dwaipayan Bhattacharjee.
50-year-old Dwaipayan was working as a senior executive with a tech giant as a senior executive.
As per reports, Dwaipayan was suffering from depression. He went to the office as his routine. He had lunch, and a few minutes later, the security guards heard a loud thud and rushed to the parking area, where they found his body.
He was rushed to hospital but succumbed to injuries. Dwaipayan is survived by his wife and two children.
The police registered a case of unnatural death and sent his body for postmortem. Dwaipayan was an alumnus of Presidency College.
The cops launched a thorough probe into the matter. They will examine all CCTV footage installed in the office premises, including devices.
