ED Raids Underway At Sandip Ghosh's Residence

The ED is currently raiding the home of Sandip Ghosh, the former principal of Kolkata's RG Kar Medical College, as well as several other locations in Kolkata. The ED has opened a case under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) related to financial irregularities. Ghosh is currently in CBI custody.

No Arrest Made By CBI In 23 days: Education Minister On Kolkata Case

As the CBI investigates the rape and murder of a junior doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, the TMC has criticized the agency for not making any progress in three weeks. Education Minister Bratya Basu said on Thursday that the CBI has been silent for 23 days despite the investigation, while the Kolkata Police regularly updated the media and arrested the main suspect within 24 hours. The CBI has yet to make any arrests in the case.

The BJP has released a letter that they claim was signed by Sandip Ghosh, the former principal of RG Kar Medical College. The letter, dated August 10, orders renovations near the seminar hall where the body of a 31-year-old trainee doctor was discovered after allegedly being raped and murdered on August 9.
