Kashmir Faces Extreme Cold Wave; Parts Of Iconic Dal Lake Freeze Amid Chill

Kashmir: The picturesque Kashmir Valley is enduring a severe cold snap, with Srinagar recording its coldest night of the season at a chilling minus 6 degrees Celsius. The frigid temperatures have frozen parts of the iconic Dal Lake, creating a stunning yet stark winter landscape.

According to meteorological officials, the temperature in Srinagar dropped significantly from the previous night’s minus 4.5 degrees Celsius, marking a dramatic shift in the weather. This recent cold wave has been described as one of the harshest experienced this season, with temperatures plunging four degrees below the seasonal average.
